Public hearing on forced migration held in Gandhinagar

Navsarjan organized a public hearing on social boycott and forced migration of Dalits and Tribals in Gujarat on January 24, 2012, to commemorate republic of India. The public saw Dalits and Tribals from 17 villages representing before a group of eminent jury. Held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat’s state capital, at the end of the public hearing, a representation was made before Gujarat governor Dr Kamala, who ordered a complete action taken report from the Gujarat government on what it was being done to cases of social boycott and forced migration in the state’s rural areas.
